I think you're too cynical on some subjects. It's not fair to suggest that relief is being withheld or not given because those areas are red and the government is blue, whilst leaving out that Biden has enacted policies that disproportionally benefit red states and areas. I'm not a fan of democrats or money flowing out to other states as well but that's just too dull.

What I find interesting is the timing of the strike in context to the election, the union leader is a friend of Trump if I remember correctly

Call me cynical but I'm far from the only person thinking about how this could impact the election. Check this (gross) Politico article, for example: https://www.politico.com/news/2024/10/04/helene-trump-georgia-north-carolina-elections-00182448

If they're thinking that and I'm thinking that, you can be certain the DNC is having the same thought.

Re: Biden's policies that affected red states more: Which ones specifically do you mean?

The Longshoreman's strike is over, which was pretty quick, but will still lead to bottlenecks at a number of ports worldwide as some 5% of the global shipping fleet was impacted. Glad that was done fast

I'm glad that's happening, but it's a broader economic topic...wouldn't have made much sense to include in this article
